Its about 1:47am, the drinks are flowing  &  the Dj drops that girl  anthem. Yall know what i’m talkin’ bout . That anthem that brings out a different side in the ladies. Every word is repeated in unison with attitude and sometimes anger. Unfortunately, men get caught in the crossfire. Some of them swallow their pride, while others curl up in the fetal position and cry.

Here are 7 Anthems the ladies love in the club.

 7. Alison Hinds-Roll It Gal [2005]

Intros are so important in Soca songs. That’s what sets the great ones apart from the good ones. When this song drops & those horns come in, it’s whining time for the ladies as Hinds  encourages Women to do the right thing.

6. TLC-No Scrubs [1999]
No Scrubs

This song wasn’t aggressive in nature, but the lyrics hit the fellas HARD. Every woman, at some point has been approached or involved with a “scrub”. When I wanna stroke the female ego a bit, I put this on and it works all the time.. SORRY FELLAZ  (Hopefully the response helps you out a bit )

5. Rihanna-B**** Betta Have My Money [2015]RihannaBBHMM

Who can’t relate to this song.  This was a  match made in heaven. No other artist could have done this song justice the way Rihanna did. The topic is and will always be relevant. The aggression is what women can relate to, plus it’s a hot beatI mainly play this when it’s time to close out the tabs  lol.

4. Lady Saw-Man Is The Least [2003]

The Fiesta Riddim hands down was one of the greatest riddims of all time.  There were several hit songs on it, but no song & lyrics on the riddim repped the ladies like this one.  I could hear the ladies screaming now

Man a di least of mi problem/ so mi let eediat fi have dem

The ladies love to celebrate their independence. Soon as these lyrics come in it’s a wrap!

This was and still is a favorite for the ladies.  A woman’s favorite three words in life besides I LOVE YOU is I DON’T CARE. Break ups are never good, but this song made it okay. Icona Pop nailed it.  From the hood to the suburbs, they had women all across the globe saying “I LOVE IT”

2. Memphis Bleek-Do My [2000]

When I want to get a count of how many ladies are in the club, I put this on & it let’s me know right away.  In addition to the song, the video is cool, as it celebrates women’s achievements from a Hip Hop perspective.

1.Crime Mob- Knuck If You Buck [2004] (Princess & Diamond Verse)

The beauty of this song is the build up. The ladies don’t care about the first verse all they wanna hear is

“Yeah we Knuckin & Buckin & ready to fight” _________________
Fill in the blank lol

2 pretty girls spitting hard lyrics worked especially around that time when the south was winning. It’s safe to say there hasn’t been a female tag team verse like this since .

What are some other girl anthems?  Comment Below.
